Safe Church training takes places under the auspices of the Mercer School of Theology. Renewed guidelines for training are available here in accord with the renewed diocesan canons on preventing child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and sexual exploitation.
Dates for Safe Church training at the Mercer School in Garden City for the 2016-2017 academic year are as follows:
Deadlines for registration in each case fall on the prior Tuesdays. Registration can be completed online. Please visit the calendar on the Mercer School website for the appropriate link.
Further Safe Church trainings, in Spanish and English, will be scheduled throughout the diocese. As they are, dates and registration information may be found on the calendar as well.
