Mercer Now:
From the Dean's Office
News from Mercer School
Date posted: Mon, Dec 12th, 2016

Dear Friends,

In the early weeks of the new year, Mercer School will offer leadership programming for parish volunteers. Please note that the class for Eucharistic Visitors on Jan 7 and the Formation Forum for Church Leadership Teams on Jan 28 are sessions in which lay leaders can learn skills to better serve in their communities of faith.

Clergy are invited to sharpen their skills on Jan 31 in the Preaching the Lectionary workshop for Lent and Easter. Continuing our diocesan conversations from Convention, St Joseph's Church in Queens Village will host the Racism Awareness Program on Feb 25. See the details below.

As we begin 2017, we hope you will consult the Mercer School website www.mercerschool.org and these monthly newsletters for updated information on the many events and learning opportunities at the school. Whether you are a parishioner, a parish administrator, a clergy person, or a person to whom this email has been forwarded by a friend, we would be most grateful if you can do all you can to share this invitation far and wide.

As always, feel free to visit us in Garden City and experience the outstanding collections in the J. Clarence Jones Library or visit http://mercerebooks.lib.overdrive.com for the online e-books and audiobooks catalog. Librarian Charles Egleston ext. 139 offers guidance and support for our students and visitors.

Wishing you wonderful blessings in 2017!
