The past thirty years have seen a proliferation of books on leadership, as seen in the New York Times weekly list of best-selling books, or in the window of any bookstore. Similarly, much has been written about leadership within the Church. Many of these books focus on leadership theories, strategies, skills, or practices. In a rapidly changing Church and society, what kind of leadership is most needed now? How does our faith inform and shape the character of leadership not only in the Church, but in our nation and our world? What can we learn from some of the greatest spiritual leaders of our time?
